For the past five years, the Riata Center for Entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University has recognized the fastest-growing businesses owned and operated by OSU alumni through the Cowboy100 program. These are companies across every industry, technology, manufacturing, healthcare, professional services, that are growing, creating jobs, and building something meaningful in Oklahoma and beyond.
This year, Aspen Custom Electronics was named one of the top three honorees.
The Cowboy100 is a growth recognition, not a lifetime achievement award. It reflects what has been happening at Aspen over the past several years, deepening relationships with clients across Oklahoma, expanding our work in corporate, higher education, technology centers, and houses of worship, and continuing to invest in the team and capabilities that make that growth possible.
We are proud of this recognition. Not because we need external validation to believe in what we are doing, but because it reflects the work our team puts in every single day. Aspen operates by a set of Vision and Values that guide every client interaction, every system design, and every service call. Seeing that approach recognized alongside some of Oklahoma’s most dynamic businesses is meaningful.
What this recognition reflects
Commercial AV integration is a relationship business. The organizations we work with, corporations, universities, technology centers, houses of worship, government facilities, are not looking for a vendor who shows up once and moves on. They are looking for a partner who understands their space, their people, and their goals, and who will still be there when something needs attention two years after installation.
That is how Aspen has always operated. And over the past several years, more Oklahoma organizations have found us, worked with us, and trusted us with their most important spaces. That is what drives growth at a company like ours, doing the work well, building real partnerships, and earning trust that compounds over time.
Where we are headed
Being recognized in the Cowboy100 is a milestone, but it is not a destination. Aspen’s goal is straightforward, to be the AV integration partner that Oklahoma companies, schools, and institutions trust when it matters most. We want to be part of the infrastructure that helps Oklahoma organizations connect with their audiences, educate their students, serve their communities, and do their best work.
Oklahoma has an extraordinary ecosystem of corporations, universities, tribal nations, and civic organizations that are doing important things. The technology that powers their conference rooms, classrooms, sanctuaries, and event spaces should work, seamlessly, reliably, and without drawing attention to itself. That is what we build. And we plan to keep building it for a long time.
Thank you to the Riata Center and the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University for five years of championing OSU-owned businesses. It was a wonderful evening and an honor to be recognized alongside so many outstanding companies.
Go Pokes.
